MISSIONARY?
The heartcry of Jesus before his passion included this prayer, “As you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.” (John 17:18) Jesus desires his children to be one, and our missionaries are those who feel this call from Jesus to be sent into the world in the same way that Jesus was sent into the world: to proclaim and demonstrate the Good News of the Kingdom of God!
We believe that Jesus desires to build up an army of children in love with him, who are united in praise. Our evangelization is an overflow of our worship. “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24)
Full-Time Missionaries
Missionaries on staff dedicate themselves to a ministry of worship, life in the charismatic gifts, and evangelization. Missionaries partner with families, parishes, campus ministries and other ministries to help facilitate revival. They lean heavily on the gifts of the Holy Spirit to accomplish this and seek the Father’s heart for whomever they are serving.
Following the commandment of Paul, our missionaries are “filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart.” (Eph. 5:18b-19) With that in mind, all missionaries dedicate time to perfecting skills in worship through instrument, vocal, or technological training.
Missionaries support-raise their salary. Partnerships with parishes and other ministries often include the opportunity for missionaries to invite more individuals to partner with their work. We believe in helping our missionaries continue to find more supporters to sustain their ministry and their life needs. We strongly encourage a spirit of simplicity with our missionaries.
